This sheet cake is so moist & easy to make! It's my favorite & has all 5 star ratings!
It's filled with fall spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, cloves. & cardamom & is made with real carrots, applesauce & sour cream!
First, whisk together the flour, baking soda & powder, salt & spices.
Next, whisk together the sugars & oil. Stir in the eggs & vanilla.
Sift 1/2 of the dry ingredients into the wet ones. Add the applesauce & sour cream. Sift in the rest of the flour mix.
Fold in the shredded carrots, then pour the batter into a prepared 9x13 inch pan. Bake until a toothpick comes out clean!
While the cake bakes, prepare the brown butter cream cheese frosting!
Heat the butter until it browns & gives off a nutty aroma, then transfer it to a bowl & let it cool.
Mix together the cream cheese, brown butter, powdered sugar & vanilla. Then frost the cooled cake!
