Easy Honey Vanilla Cake


This simple layer cake is light, fluffy and not too sweet! Top it with whipped cream & fresh fruit for the summer!


Gather your ingredients.

Step 1:

Cream together the butter, sugar, eggs, honey, sour cream and vanilla extract.

Step 2:

Whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

Step 3:

Alternately fold the flour mixture and buttermilk into the wet ingredients.

Step 4:

Bake the cake batter in 3 6-inch round pans at 350°F for about 25 minutes.

Step 5:

While the cakes cool, whisk the heavy cream, vanilla extract and powdered sugar.

Step 6:

Layer the cakes with whipped cream and top with fresh fruit, edible flowers and extra honey!

Step 7:

This recipe can also be made into 18 cupcakes!
