3ounces(85.05g)cream cheeseroom temperature
1tablespoon(14g)unsalted butterroom temperature
¼teaspoonvanilla extract
1cup(120g)powdered sugar

variety of washed and dried fresh fruit (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, grapes, kiwi, oranges, etc.)chopped or sliced
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F.
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract.
Stir the flour, baking soda, and salt into the wet ingredients just until combined.
Scoop 3 tablespoons of dough and roll it into a smooth ball for each cookie. Place them on the baking sheet about 2 inches apart.
Bake on the middle rack until the edges begin to tan (about 9-13 minutes). Let cool on the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
Make the cream cheese frosting by combining cream cheese, butter, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until smooth.
Spread frosting over the cooled cookies and top with fresh fruit!
Notes
Storage: Cookies are best served immediately, but can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days. Unfrosted sugar cookies can be frozen for 1 month and then thawed, frosted, and topped with fruit.
