Mix together the light brown sugar, pumpkin spice and water in a small/medium saucepan. Bring it to a boil over medium-low heat, then reduce it to low and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Whisk every few minutes.
Stir in the pumpkin puree and then let the syrup cool before transferring it to a lidded container.
